TOLIS Group is the developer of a full range of data backup and restore software and appliance solutions based on its venerable BRU™ technology. TOLIS Group products are available worldwide.

Developed from a data "restore" versus "backup" perspective, BRU is the only tool that can recover from a read error during a restore to return the most data possible. This unmatched capability is key because the creation of archives is all about the ability to recover an archive when needed.

In 2003 TOLIS Group engaged in the Macintosh market place at the request of Apple® Corporation. The fit was natural, Mac OS X® is a Unix-core operating system and BRU has been delivering data backup and restore services on Unix systems since 1985. In fact, NASA uses BRU to back up their space projects that include the Mars Rovers - a testament to BRU's reliability.

Since 2003, BRU solutions have become the reliability standard of Mac OS X backup, from support of standalone systems to very large networked system environments.

The development of BRU Producer's Edition™ (PE), that specifically supports the music and film industries, was a given. We had the technology, skill, and the interest to develop such a product. TOLIS Group team members, that are composers and musicians in their own right, developed PE - vocation and avocation in "concert."

The design of PE was also strongly influenced through close interaction with NARAS and AES P&E Wing members and numerous engineers and operators in the music and film industries.

Why BRU PE? Because losing an artistic nuance that cannot be replicated is not an option.

The name TOLIS is an acronym for "Talented Organization Leveraging Intelligent Solutions."
