BRU PE Supported Tape Devices
Quantum LTO Notice
As of November 1, 2010, all Quantum LTO-4 "Original Drive" SAS drives (view picture) remain unsupported by TOLIS Group, Inc. However, all Quantum LTO-4 SAS "Model B" drives (view picture) are now supported by TOLIS Group with the use of all BRU products. View the drives side-by-side.
It is not possible for any BRU products to properly function with the Quantum LTO-4 SAS "Original Drive". There is nothing that TOLIS Group can do to resolve issues with this drive under Mac OS X. You must contact your hardware provider and request that they exchange it for a Quantum "Model B" LTO-4 drive, replace it with a different manufacturer's LTO-4 device, or upgrade to a any manufacturers LTO-5 tape drive.
| Autoloaders/Libraries Please contact BRU Sales if you have questions about your device. |
||
BRU PE supports autoloaders with a maximum of 24 total slots and two drives. BRU PE will not work with autoloaders that exceed these limits. If you have an autoloader above these limits, please see our BRU Server product. |

The OEM LTO devices listed above are for all LTO tape device manufacturers. All LTO tape manufacturers must adhere to the same LTO Program specifications when developing LTO technology. Therefore, the only difference would be the library in which the LTO device is installed that would dictate the support for the tape device. If you have any questions, or you are unsure, please contact BRU Sales.
For the use of LTFS support, LTFS requires LTO-5 tape technology. LTFS cannot be used with older LTO tape technology.
